1966 Family began buying Single Family Home Rental “Investments” in Las Vegas
1968 Began going with my father to my first Rental “showings” to prospective tenants
1969 Attended my first inspection of a rental home “after an eviction” and helped clean up
1969-1975 Worked with and continued to learn the family Real Estate Rental business
1975 Received the “Outstanding Teenager of the Year” Award for the entire State of Nevada
1975 Began Ownership of My First Property Ever, Renting it Out to Tenants
1975 Received a “Four Year” Full ride Tennis Scholarship, setting Four Top Ten School Records
1976 Sent my first Rent “raise” letter (and got the higher rent!)
1975-1980 Attended The University of Nevada, at Las Vegas Concentrating in Finance/Real Estate
1978 Received the Nevada Association of Realtors Scholarship
1980 Graduated, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Bachelor of Science, Business Administration
(Finance Degree, with a Concentration in Real Estate)
1980 Passed (1st time) the Real Estate “Broker’s” License test (skipped the Agent’s test)
1981 Purchased my first “Nothing Down” Property
1981 Became Full Time Real Estate “Broker-Salesman” with the Americana Group (sales/service)
1981 Purchased a Rental Home placing it into an “Illinois Land Trust” for the first time (asset protection)
1981 Listed and sold my first house for clients and became “Agent of the Month”
1982 Joined my father’s Real Estate Company, Property Professionals, Inc. as a Broker-Salesman
1983 Represented and sold my first property for a “church”
1983 Sold my first “all cash” transaction
1983 Finalized and won my first rental “eviction” and re-rented the Property quickly
1984 Began working as a Buyer’s Broker, negotiating and representing Buyers Only
1984 Purchased my First Mortgage at a Discount from a Private Party (resulting in a high yield)
1985 Recognized that over One Million Dollars in Collected Rents had passed through my hands
1986 Began writing the Real Estate Rental Information Newsletter “Morrissey Money Matters” monthly
1987 Received my Life Insurance and Annuity License (passed test first try) – sold Annuties, IRA’s, Insurance
1988 First Listed in “Who’s Who in Creative Real Estate in the United States”, and qualified yearly thereafter
1988 Qualified for the National “Buyer’s Broker Registry”, and qualified yearly thereafter
1988 Received my Securities License from the National Association of Securities Dealers (N.A.S.D.); (passed test first try), and became involved in Mutual Fund Sales
1991 Became a “Broker-Associate” for Caprice Realty (as an Independent Real Estate Broker)
1994 Became the Broker for Property Resources, Inc. a Real Estate Company
1996 Became the Broker for Property Services, Inc. a Real Estate Company
1996 Began Managing and Leasing a Commercial Shopping Center and Warehouse/Office Space
1996 Attended (and Won) my first Commercial Tenant Eviction (a Restaurant)
1996 Leased to Tenants “Vacant Land” for the first time (making profitable a non-producing asset).
1997 Sold over One Million Dollars of Property, added better internet capabilities
1998 Currently Managing Over Seven Million Dollars of Commercial and Residential Property
1999 Expanded services of Corporation Forming, Limited Liability and Resident Agent Services
2000 Hired a full time agent, adding more Buyer’s Brokerage Services, Lenders, computer network
2003 Expanded office space, services, database, library, computer systems, support, library
2003 Began website and hired two more Real Estate Agents
